Current Events

After the oppressive rule of House Delandi, which saw various planets descend into recession and anarchy, Baade is finally recovering from past calamities under the benevolent leadership of Emperor Dominic Constantinus. In 130 IE Emperor Dominic Constantinus overthrew the usurper Ehno Delandi and restored peace and order to Baade.

The First Siege of Maia

During a political debate between the Fiat Lux Armada and the Order of the Hidden Sun, the government of Maia, under the Senatorial control of House Levantes legalized the trade of slaves, one of the galaxy's biggest taboo. As one of the galaxy's shrine for Imperialism as well as the home planet of House Luxerat, Luxerat headquarters did not stand for this action and led a coup against the government of Maia. Thus began the siege of Maia with the Luxerat military facing a force three times their size. The defenders were able to hold for days before finally being forced to retreat. They managed to inflict five times their own losses, annihilating 15 legions of the Order to their 3. This number is disputed by House Alhazred, which recounts eliminating many times that number.

Other members of the Order and Armada began skirmishes against each other while the siege raged on with the high point of these actions being the destruction of House Oresthin's headquarters.

Although initially, the conflict was confined to Maia with Luxerat being pitted against the forces of Alhazred and Levantes, House Kane expanded the conflict by attacking several Oresthin facilities across the empire.

The conflict was later mediated by House Malaganov, putting an end to the conflict.

Some say that it was this conflict that triggered the decision of the leadership of House Galgori to end their house line, though no corroboration was discovered to support this claim.

The survivors of the Siege are referred to as The_Besieged 1) by House Luxerat, an elite part of the Armada.

Terms of the Ceasefire

  • A guarantee that the trade of narcotics, arms and slaves will remain banned on Maia, and the trade of slaves on all other planets governed by Levantes or Alhazred.
  • House Alhazred and Levantes maintain proper contributions to the Empire and Imperial administration. (This was due to the revealing that the Houses in the Imperial Senate were not contributing proper tax solars to Imperial coffers; see the Empress' public address to the Nobility for more background.)
