House Background

'The Empire has fallen out of the One's favor and suffers every day for it. Everyday from breakfast onward we struggle to correct that,' -Paul Djala, Imperialist Cardinal

A clan of minor roboteers from one of the backwater worlds of the Baadian Empire with an abiding love of elegance and the pursuit of perfection, House Djala relocated to Maia, the cultural center of the Empire in their eyes, as soon as they could afford it. They have fallen in love with Imperialist culture endemic to their new home and in a very short time, Imperialist thought took over the family and Djala leaders moved to revive the some-what defunct Imperialist Church as it's most ardent advocates. They strive to renew Imperialism's import as the cultural and polticol monopole of Baadian life the way 'Maesil intended to when he forged the empire into Order from Chaos'.

Economics

'A quality market deserves a quality product, and we provide,'
-Djala Tech Advertising Slogan

House Djala is built upon the twin pillars of Technology and Psionics, the material and the imaterial. Robots, robotic support, and most importantly, robotic research and development provide the lion's share of the family's wealth, and it was in search of a better CPU that the Djala moved into Psionics. Neglected Suzumiyan Kirellan tech provided the basis they use to craft the psychoplastics and mentally imprinted products that come out Psionic manufactoring cloisters. Djalan-trained Talents focus more on the industrial applications and mass replication of their gifts than security or esoteric research. That said, a Talent is a Talent, and some find their way into Djalan House Security teams… They can and do pop the heads off of offenders with a wave of their fingers and a smile, a dangerous and strange lot.

Politics

'The One is the Truth and the Way of the universe. All you heretics may be too lost to accept that, but by the One, we'll make you live like good Imperialists despite yourselves,'
-Morg Johansen, FPM Enforcer

House Djala supports the Five Perfect Ministries, an organization driven to return the galaxy into the mold of imperialist values and ideals. A respectable swath of the galaxy is being rescupted under their unfaltering paternalistic care, and even more social control is planned to follow. One holy grail remains at the heart of the Five Perfect Ministries: a renewed ban on the manufacture of civilian arms, narcotics, and all brands of moral filth. They have their work cut out for them.

War

'There is no virture in sacrificing quality for quanity. If quanity can defeat quality, you need better quality,'
-Kharla Blumkenz, Djalan Comander

Younger and smaller than other Noble Houses, the rulers of House Djala have aligned themselves with House Necron, the current administrators of the Imperialist Church, urging them to rearm the faithful to the levels of the Luxerat 'golden age'. Furthermore, the Djala have established their own small core of legions, spinning them out from their psychoplatic robots. Purely robotic besides their maintentance techs and warship crews, Djalan constructs range from moth-sized recon drones to the 5-story tall Grand Mariage titan engines that form the heart of an entire legion apiece. The human-scale on up models prosecute Djalan objectives with a terrifyingly human level of energy and focus, a feeling of something alive within their cold metalic shells, especially to Talents.

Destruction

'Anarchy on Alya as a nuclear blast engulfs the Djala family palace at the heart of Felde, bringing down much of the local opnet. Simultaneously, almost the entirety of the Djala force of Titan Engines deploy in their armored dropships for destinations unknown. Only a handful f the God machines remain undeployed, witnesses claiming to pick up digital screaming from them.'
-Unidentified news broadcast from the day of The Titan Uprising

Sometime during the year 90IE (The fifth year of the reign of Emperor Ugo Ingram House Djala was annihilated when a number of its iconic Titan Engines - massive, walking war-machines controlled by AIs directly modeled on the human brain rewritten in silicon. Its sudden demise and the following mass-AI rebellion sent tidal waves throughout the political, technological, and economic halls of Baade, a necessitated the search for a new House to take on the stewardship of the Imperialist faith.
